The first Hungarian “Student Entrepreneur Competition” was launced by the the Fejér Enterprise Agency (FEA) and the National Consortium in September 2013. The competition was sponsored by the organizers and by other institutions, for example the Credinfo Ltd, the Zala Country Enterprise Agency and the Alba Polisz Science Park Association.

110 teams from 46 high schools entered the qualifying round of the competition by presenting their innovative business ideas in a 10-minute video. Based on the quality of the videos, the panel of judges selected the 12 best teams to enter into the final round which was organized on 9 November 2013 in Székesfehérvár.

The final round consisted of a written test, based on the business learning handbook published by FEA and some interactive exercises (simulation of real business situations, e.g. negotiations with partners).

The whole competition was organized and managed through the www.diakvallalkozo.hu website, developed by Credinfo Ltd. The contestants applied and uploaded their portfolio on-line. Part of the final round was run on-line and the judging system was also managed through the website.

The winner of the 2013 Student Enterpreneur Competition was the team of the Székesfehérvár-based Lánczos Kornél High School.
